Onionizing about the self
What I’m about to write here, is a bit complex, I hope to be able to make it understandable. There are some important aspects of the self we shall gain awareness of. In my introduction about images I talked about our ways to model things in life by making images of them in our mind. The self image though is a little bit more complex issue. We live in a world of images. They are our most relevant context. We think in terms of images, we works with models, we tend to set everything into a visual dimension so we can imagine them. The unimaginable – is nonexistent. Everything that exists has to be imaginable to us. It may sound too obvious maybe but in fact it is a complex system and a very important part of creation. We use images as concepts of our life.
We have an image of God, one of ourselves, images of other people around us, an image of the political “landscape” and also science works with models in order to understand things better. We make images of words by writing them down; we draw or paint to express our thoughts and feelings.
